ENEJE (English Native Edited Japanese Essays) Parallel Corpus

Introduction

ENEJE (English Native Edited Japanese Essays) Parallel Corpus is a free parallel corpus tool that informs users of possible alternatives to Japanese learners’ errors and the way to correct them in reference to three sets of actual essays corrected by native English speakers.

Author

The ENEJE Parallel Corpus is developed by Laurence ANTHONY (Waseda University, Japan) in collaboration with Nozomi MIKI (Komazawa University, Japan).

The ENEJE Parallel Corpus uses English essays written by Japanese learners from Nagoya Interlanguage Corpus of English (NICE, Ver. 2.0) by Sugiura Masatoshi under CC BY-SA 2.1 JP, while this project had the essays corrected by English native speakers instead of using those in NICE.
